Commentary
FM/AM tuner equipped with NFB, PLL and MPX circuits.
The front-end section employs a junction-type FET with good high-frequency characteristics and a frequency number line type 3-row varicon. The IF stage employs a high-gain IC differential IF amplifier with excellent limiter characteristics, which has been carefully examined by differential gain direct-viewing analysis.
NFB, PLL and MPX circuits are used in the MPX section.
This circuit is an MPX circuit using a PLL / IC and applied NFB (negative feedback) similar to an audio amplifier. Noise and distortion are reduced and various characteristics are improved.
Built-in 333 Hz test signal generation circuit for easy level check during recording.
The meter is equipped with a two way meter that operates as a tuning meter when receiving FM and a signal meter when receiving AM.
