Commentary
A floor-type speaker system equipped with a special large diaphragm NS type unit.
In the low range, it is equipped with EN- 6002, a large diaphragm NS type woofer unit of 570x820mm.
The specially molded diaphragm has a large vibration area, high rigidity, and high durability without being affected by humidity.
The voice coil uses a 66 φ large-diameter aluminum ribbon wire edgewise winding, and the magnet uses super anisotropic magnet YM-5S produced by patented and ゾーメルティング manufacturing method based on Yamaha alloying technology.
The mid-range is equipped with a 30 cm cone type squaker, JA-3053.
This is a unit developed for large speakers. The cone paper molded from carefully selected materials contains wool for high-frequency attenuation, and has a special cross-sectional shape for the rich reproduction of the mid-range.
A horn type tweeter JA-0506B is mounted in the high range.
The diaphragm hard duralumin foil with a thickness of 30 μ is used for the diaphragm, and the edge has a structure with tangential corrugation to increase the strength.
The magnetic circuit is equipped with a 23 φ voice coil with aluminum ribbon wire edgewise winding, a 40 φ magnet with air gap magnetic flux density of 17,000 gauss and total magnetic flux density of 24,600 maxwell, achieving a high efficiency of 110 dB.
To avoid distortion caused by the network, we use an air-core coil and 0.8 φ formal wire to reduce DC resistance, prevent power loss, and minimize characteristic changes.
An MP capacitor is used for the capacitor.
The enclosure features a quiet, classic design and a stately finish that takes advantage of Yamaha's woodworking techniques.
