Commentary
A record player developed with Yamaha's highly accurate processing technology.
The mechanism part adopts a belt drive system using a 30 cm aluminum die-cast turntable and a synchronous outer rotor motor.
In addition, to reduce unnecessary vibration, the entire player mechanism is suspended by Yamaha's unique double float suspension system, in which the turntable and tone arm are suspended from the player panel, and the motor section is also suspended. This system is a double suspension system in which the motor section is also suspended. This system blocks external vibration and motor vibration.
The arm uses a light alloy S-shaped pipe arm with a solid structure without resonance. It has a high traceability design with low tracking error and sharp sensitivity to horizontal and vertical movements. It also comes with direct reading needle pressure adjustment and sub-weight for heavy cartridge.
In addition, it is equipped with a lateral weight for balancing left and right around the tone arm axis, and a thread suspension type anti-skater for canceling inside force.
The head shell adopts an international standard plug-in replacement method. The contact points of this head shell are plated with gold to prevent poor contact.
The cartridge uses the MC type Shear M75 series.
An overhang indicating lamp is provided to indicate the correct overhang of the cartridge.
As a result, even if the cartridge is replaced, the correct overhang can be obtained by aligning the needle tip with this indicator lamp.
Equipped with an auto mechanism to improve operability.
This mechanism is a mix of the advantages of manual operation and automatic operation. Auto-start and auto-cut can be performed only by the operation of the switch which serves both Play and Off functions. Manual start is also possible.
There is a built-in queuing mechanism that allows you to pause the recording or re-play it from halfway.
The slow movement of the silicone hydraulic cylinder prevents the record from being damaged.
There were two types of cabinet finishes : Brazilian Rosewood finish YP-700 and Castor open pore finish YP-700C which is unified with Yamaha's new line component.
In addition, the acrylic cover is a free hinge system that can be fixed at any angle, and with YP-700C, the acrylic cover can be attached and detached.
