Commentary
This AV amplifier is equipped with the highest level of sound quality, characteristics and sound field function, and was developed to be the core of home theater sound systems.
The AV-DSP sound field is installed by CINEDSP processing which combines Dolby Pro Logic or directional enhancement circuit and Yamaha Double 4 chDSP. This enables you to enjoy not only Dolby source but also any AV source in surround sound.
The Dolby Source combines the operation of the digital decoder with the processing of the Yamaha DSP to simulate 75 mm and 35 mm theater sound fields. In addition, all AV sources can be enjoyed with sound field effects by the CINE-DSP processing.
The Dolby Pro Logic decoder has been digitized into YSS 203, and the sound field processing including the Double 4 chDSP processing has been integrated into YM 3413. All the decoders and processors, including RAM, ROM and microcomputer, are housed on one board.
As a result, the layout of the AV amplifier has been simplified and most of the internal space is allocated to the power amplifier and power source to improve the sound quality.
In addition to the main (L, R) 2 ch, the power amplifier is equipped with center ch (for dual center) and front and rear effect 4 ch for a total of 7 ch. Each amplifier uses a discrete configuration for low distortion and high sound quality.
Parts such as specially tuned block Chemicon, mica capacitor, and audio resistor are used, and high-quality parts such as an 8 kg large power transformer are used for the power supply part so that it can be used as an audio amplifier.
The input / output terminals are gold-plated, and the speaker terminals are large enough to accommodate banana plugs and monster cables.
The power cord is an OFC cord with polarity.
The input sensitivity of all 10 input terminals can be adjusted within a range of 0 to + 6 dB (in 2 dB steps) by using the trim keys, and the volume of each source can be adjusted.
The 5-band GEQ dedicated to the center channel adjusts the sound of the center speaker, and the bus extension SW and L, C, R interlock tone control enable equalization on the front side.
The level control can be set to L, C, R, front, rear, or independent.
It has a large LCD display with 16x2 lines backlit.
It is also equipped with an on-screen superimpose function that can display selected sound field programs and parameters on the monitor.
By using the pre-main coupler, the hand-held amplifier can be used for L and R playback, and the main amplifier of the AVX 2000 DSP can be used only for sound fields.
A handheld learning type remote control is included.
