Commentary

FM/AM tuner designed to enjoy sound quality suitable for the era of full-scale FM broadcasting.

A 2-meter system is adopted.
The Distortion Null meter, similar to the Distortion Rate Meter, indicates the minimum distortion point only when the full tuning point is reached regardless of whether the input is large or small. This makes it easy to select the full tuning point (minimum distortion point).

The FM dial uses a newly developed frequency number line type varicon. The frequency scale is equally spaced, making it easy to read and adjust.

The front end uses high-frequency two stage amplification. The first stage is connected with a cord to lend two FETs, and the second stage uses a 4-pole MOS FET to bring out the advantages of each.
Combined with the high selectivity characteristics of the 4-row varicon, it shows good interference rejection capability.

In the intermediate frequency amplifier circuit, two crystal filters are used to improve the characteristics of the selectivity curve, and sufficient gain and limiter characteristics are obtained by the 6-stage amplification configuration (of which five stages are differential amplification with excellent limiter characteristics).
A monolithic IC is used for this intermediate frequency amplification to stabilize the gain.

Built-in movable ferrite antenna.

A muting circuit is mounted to suppress inter-station noise.

Uses MPX High Blend Switch.
