Mash DAT deck with 1-bit AD/DA converter.
The AD converter employs a multi-stage noise-shaping circuit, which is a key technology for the Mash 1-bit D/A conversion system. This AD converter uses a 3rd-order noise-shaping circuit that quantizes audio signals at extremely high speed and in fine detail with a 64-times over-speed pulling operation, and a 2-stage digital filter in a single-package LSI with independent left and right configurations.
By high-speed and fine quantization and noise shaping, we have achieved a stable SN ratio of approximately 90 dB over 16 bits. In addition, we have succeeded in converting minute music signals directly into digital signals by eliminating non-linear distortion and 0 cross distortion that were generated by conventional current integration type and continuous comparison type AD converters.
In addition, the SV-DA10 uses a digital signal processing circuit that performs three fold error correction, the maximum of the DAT standard, to improve the fidelity of digital signals.
Mash 1-bit DAC is used for the DA conversion part.
The 1-bit DA conversion output based on a high-precision clock signal using a quartz crystal eliminates not only 0 cross distortion but also distortion generated at the conventional bit switching point in principle.
High-precision integrally molded aluminum die-cast is used for the chassis that supports the mechanism. In addition, the tilting post on the tape take-up side is fixed to this chassis to improve tape travel accuracy.
The head cylinder and capstan are driven by a direct drive system, the cylinder motor uses a high torque neodymium magnet, and the capstan motor is designed with high inertia and high FG frequency so that rotational fluctuation caused by disturbance is reduced to about 1/2 of the conventional design.
The rotary head cylinder employs a high-precision SSB (Silent Shaft Bearing) reduce mechanical noise. In addition, the cylinder has been designed for quietness, such as a review of machining accuracy.
The head uses a unique MIG (metal-in-gap) type amorphous head with an amorphous layer deposited around the gap.
In order to further stabilize the tape running, it is equipped with a processor exclusively for servo developed with the mechanism.
This processor provides integrated control including cylinder rotation, capstan rotation, and automatic track finding (ATF) control, as well as related operation of the mechanism in each mode. By optimally controlling these processes with software, which used to be hardware control, it realizes quick action, smooth transition to running mode and stable tape running.
Equipped with a dial shuttle search with 7-step forward / reverse variable speed in the range of 1/2 ~ 15 times speed.
Equipped with Hyper Memo Search capable of up to 400 times speed for both rewind and fast forward.
Dubbing editing by ID recording using the subcode area is possible.
This allows you to skip recorded radio CMs and MCs between songs by recording IDs, and to randomly access songs in the order of programs.
These IDs can be rewritten or erased, and there is a playback mode that ignores them.
Equipped with a digital control fade in / fade out dedicated button for smooth and reliable fading operation.
It is equipped with SCMS (Serial Copy Management System) and can record digital signals directly from digital sources such as CDs. However, it is not possible to record digital signals directly from DAT tapes once recorded as digital signals.
Wireless remote control is included.
There are 2 color variations, champagne gold and black.
