Commentary
A direct-drive turntable developed by Technics for the first time in the world.
In the direct drive system, since the motor itself rotates at the same speed as the record, there is no reduction mechanism such as belt or idler at all, thereby eliminating mechanical vibration caused by the reduction mechanism.
Turntable has weight of 2.8 kg and inertial mass of 330 kg ・ cm2Each item is strictly adjusted for dynamic balance.
Since the rotational speed is changed electronically by operating the knob, there is no rotational unevenness caused by the switching mechanism.
In addition, the rotational speed can be finely adjusted by each of 33 1/3 and 45 revolutions.
