Commentary
This belt drive player system takes over the performance and design of the SR 525.
The drive system uses a belt drive system, and a 4-pole synchronous motor drives a 303 mm diameter aluminum alloy die-cast turntable.
In addition, the drive parts such as the motor suspension and the mechanism of the power switching and speed switching mechanism are unitized into a sub-chassis using high mechanical strength Duracon material, which provides stable operation and improved mechanical strength.
High-sensitivity S-shaped pipe arm is used for the tone arm.
This arm is supported vertically by a simple structure, strong and durable knife edge support system, and horizontally by an assembly bearing using precision steel balls with less frictional resistance.
In addition, the tone arm of the SR-323 is equipped with partial resonance countermeasures. Zinc alloy, which is a strong material, is used for the arm holding part and base part, and it is securely fixed to the cabinet with a large washer. Special damping material is inserted inside the pipe arm to prevent harmful howling such as resonance.
SV-42, a MM type cartridge, is used.
In addition, the head shell to which the cartridge is mounted is made of aluminum die-cast with an integrated structure including the arm fingers to prevent partial resonance.
Solid board cabinet is used for the cabinet.
This is a new material with a large howling margin developed for acoustic use. It has a large internal loss and has a structure with the motor part hollowed out. About 2/3 of the total weight of the player is the weight of the cabinet.
In addition, as a countermeasure against direct vibration from the floor, an insulator is installed in the leg part.
Pin-Pin system is adopted for output code.
This cord is a low-capacity type of 40pF/m with good high-frequency characteristics, and can be used for 4-channel playback by replacing it with a special cartridge.
