CD - α 7
Commentary

An Alf series CD player designed with an emphasis on D/A converters and vibration countermeasures.

The D/A converter uses a 1-bit delta-sigma (delta-sigma) D/A converter.
The delta-sigma method is a combination of over-sampling and noise-shaping technology and high-speed C-MOS-LSI technology. The conventional DAC requires severe element accuracy and stability, but this DAC has an excellent advantage that there is no distortion depending on element accuracy as long as there is a stable reference frequency.
As a result, linear characteristics with low distortion have been obtained from a large amplitude signal of 0 dB to a small signal of minus 100 dB.

In order to reduce vibration and resonance when the motor is driven, a newly developed transparent resin material used in the AU - α series insulator is used as a vibration countermeasure material. In addition, a material with excellent vibration absorption ability is used for the contact part (mechanism base) of each mechanism and chassis to cut off the transmission path of vibration.
In addition, vibration control measures using newly developed transparent resin are applied to the structure and the side panel which suppresses vibration from the outside.

Equipped with a power supply section using an electrolytic capacitor exclusively for audio.

The output stage has a discrete configuration and low impedance design.

Equipped with an optical digital output terminal.

In combination with the D - α 7 cassette deck, CARS PRO recording (high quality synchronized REC function) is supported.

Equipped with 3-mode EDIT functions (AUTO, HALF, HOLD) convenient for recording cassette tapes.

It is equipped with functions such as 24-track random program memory, random play, one track / all track repeat, and last one memory for each mode.

Gold-plated output terminal is mounted.

Equipped as standard with a 28-key dedicated remote controller for independent investigation.

There was a side wood sold separately.
