Commentary
This 4-way speaker system uses a diaphragm made of high-polymer elements.
A cone containing carbon fiber is used for the cone paper of the woofer. The surface is coated with a special sound damping agent. The frame that holds the diaphragm and magnet is made of strong aluminum die-cast. The magnetic circuit is designed with long voice coils, large magnets, and a copper cap on the center pole to suppress harmonic distortion.
Skoka emphasizes directivity and uses 10 cm cone type instead of large diameter.
The diaphragm is a newly developed lightweight cone paper with increased rigidity. The magnetic circuit is equipped with a large magnet and edgewise wound voice coil to greatly improve efficiency, and the center pole is equipped with a copper cap to reduce distortion.
For the tweeter, aluminum die-cast is used for the frame to stabilize the characteristics, and epoxy adhesive is used to bond the voice coil assembly and cone paper.
The Super Tweeter uses a unique piezoelectric type speaker that uses a high-polymer element for the diaphragm. This high-polymer has many features such as light weight vibration system, good directivity due to full-surface drive type, little fluctuation of characteristics due to resonance, and resistance to large input.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex type.
In addition, a low-loss MP-type capacitor is used for the network and a simple circuit model is adopted with an emphasis on phase characteristics.
