Commentary
A record player that employs the frequency control method of optical pulse detection.
The drive motor is a brushless DC servo DD motor with excellent load characteristics. In order to keep the rotation of this motor continuously at a constant speed, we have adopted a frequency control method of photoelectric pulse detection in which a light-emitting diode and a phototransistor are combined in the rotation speed detection part. This method detects the pulse of the rotation speed and automatically controls the rotation speed based on the frequency change so that the correct rotation speed is maintained. It is accurate, responds quickly and always maintains a constant rotation speed without being affected by external temperature or humidity.
The turntable part adopts a turntable and bearing carefully polished by an automatic precision machine to obtain high characteristics.
A newly designed S-shaped pipe arm is used for the tone arm part.
This arm uses high-precision angular contact bearings in the horizontal and vertical rotating parts to reduce friction and achieve high sensitivity. In addition, this angular contact bearing improves durability and eliminates abnormal resonance caused by the rattling of the support.
Equipped with an anti-skating mechanism that cancels the inside force. In this mechanism, the needle pressure scale value shows the anti-skating bias value as it is.
In addition, it is equipped with an arm height adjustment mechanism that can adjust the vertical tracking angle of the cartridge to an appropriate value. In addition, it is equipped with a lateral balancer that maintains the horizontal balance of the arm and an oil dump type arm elevation mechanism.
The MM type cartridge PC 330 is used.
This light-weight cartridge has a vibration system with an effective mass of 0.6 mg. It combines a light alloy pipe cantilever with an outer diameter of 0.5 mm and a wall thickness of 40 microns with a bonded diamond needle of 0.5 mil.
The output code is a low-capacitance type (40 pf or less / 1m) that does not degrade the ultra-high frequency characteristics.
Equipped with a strobe light for fine speed adjustment, it can be adjusted within ± 2% while watching the strobe.
Equipped with 2 head shell stands.
Uses a fleece top type acrylic hood with a free opening and closing angle.
The turntable sheet is made of 30 mm thick polyethylene foam compressed and pressed.
It is less likely to be dusty due to less static charge and short discharge time.
The cabinet consists of a combination of high-density multi-layered rigid plywood and effective reinforcement with detailed resonance mode measurements, as well as a large insulator composed of special rubber and die-cast solid.
The level of this insulator can be adjusted (approximately 0.5 mm per rotation).
The finish is walnut wood-grain for PL 1250 and pearl gray for PL 1250 s.
