Commentary
38 cm cone shaped woofer developed for professionals.
Compared with other units of the same diameter, this unit is designed for more linear response, lower distortion rate, and higher input power, making it an optimum structure for monitoring by recording companies and broadcasting stations.
The 2215 is designed with a long travel cone and a high efficiency magnet with carefully finished pole pieces and pot-casting so that the relatively light voice coil works in very deep gaps.
In addition, high quality parts such as 10 cm edgewise rolled copper ribbon voice coil and 8.8 kg magnet using Alnico V are adopted.
The 2215 comes in two variations : the 2215A has 8 Ω specifications and the 2215B has 16 Ω specifications.
