Commentary
This 501 series 25 cm coaxial speaker unit was developed based on the popular Golden 50 series.
Hollow molded cone paper is used for the cone paper.
The shape of this cone paper is almost the same as the 50 series, but it is made of a mixture of several strong materials with large internal loss and thick fibers. In addition, the surface of the cone paper is uneven by a special manufacturing method, and it is resistant to physical and aging changes by absorbing internal loss.
A copper-coated aluminum voice coil is used for the voice coil of the woofer, making it 25% lighter than a copper voice coil. In addition, the long voice coil system reduces amplitude distortion in the low frequency range at large input.
A 20 micron thick ultra-hard titanium diaphragm is used for the horn diaphragm.
Pure aluminum ribbon voice coil is used for the voice coil of the tweeter section.
