A record player with both MM and MC cartridges as standard equipment.
The turntable shall have a finished moment of 450 kgcm.233 cm diameter 1.9 kg large turntable is adopted.
In addition, a three phase switching plane drive motor with a brushless and coreless 8-pole 6-coil structure is adopted for the drive motor, and the turntable is securely supported by a 10 mm φ large diameter hard stainless steel shaft.
A quartz PLL system is used to control the phase difference by comparing the reference signal of the quartz oscillator with the speed detection signal.
An FG coil that generates power by changing the magnetic flux density of the magnet and motor rotor is used to detect the rotational speed, and a newly developed IC with a digital memory is used for the speed control system.
Unlike the conventional sample-and-hold method, this method does not use any coil resistance, so temperature characteristics and stability are improved.
The tone arm uses a straight pipe arm with a highly rigid champagne gold alumite finish. It is a high-sensitivity type that can be used with low-mass, and is compatible with lightweight cartridges.
In order to achieve high sensitivity, pivot bearings are used in the vertical direction and underground contact bearings are used in the horizontal direction. In addition, aluminum alloy die-cast is used for the head shell, and miniature lock nuts are used for connection with the arms.
The connection code and connector are all gold-plated. In addition, the cartridge wire is made of Litz wire, and the arm cord is made of a special parallel cord, in pursuit of higher sound quality.
Equipped with static type anti-skating mechanism.
Equipped with a contactless auto lift-up mechanism.
In this mechanism, light is projected from an LED toward a mirror attached to the tone arm shaft, and the returned light is received by a photolifter to detect angular velocity (arm movement). As a result, there is no mechanical contact point and no magnet is used, so it is not affected by internal transformers, and accurate and quiet auto-up operation is achieved.
When you swing to the start / stop switch, the turntable rotates first, and the needle tip comes down to the record surface. When the performance is finished, the arm automatically separates from the record surface and stops in the up position.
If you want to stop playing a record, touch the start / stop switch and the arm will automatically move up. The turntable will continue rotating for approximately four seconds to prevent the pitch change sound when stopping.
Also, when you want to start in the middle of a record, move the arm to the desired position, touch the start / stop switch, the needle tip goes down to the code surface and start playing.
The cartridge is equipped with MM type cartridge (C-70M) and MC cartridge (C-80MC) as standard.
The C-70M MM cartridge uses a 0.6 mil round ultra C needle and has wide-area playback characteristics from 20 Hz to 22 kHz, while the C-80MC MC cartridge offers a wide range from 20 Hz to 25 kHz and a unique sound quality.
In addition, the C-80MC is a high power type, and the ease of use has been improved such as needle exchange with one touch.
The cabinet is made of two materials with different resonance frequencies : a high-density particle board and a 6 mm thick steel plate. It is a highly rigid cabinet with two layers.
In addition, by matching the center of gravity of the cabinet with the center spindle of the motor, mechanical torque ripple called cocking is suppressed, low wow and flutter are realized, and stable tracing capability is obtained.
The insulator has a structure that is difficult to move horizontally.
