AR (Acoustic Research) AR turntable
54,000 (around 1972)
Commentary
Belt drive type turntable.
The wow flutter, rumble, rotational speed, etc. meet the NAB standard and have been used by broadcasting stations.
It is equipped with an anti-shock mechanism to prevent vibration and acoustic feedback from the floor surface.
As a result, even if the top cover is hit vertically with a hammer while playing a record, the needle does not jump.
* Notes on Catalogs
The AR turntable is usually equipped with a pulley for 60 Hz. In the 60 Hz zone, it is used as it is. In the 50 Hz zone, it is replaced with the supplied pulley for 50 Hz.
The product operates at a voltage between 100 V and 130 V. However, if it is operated at 50 Hz in the lower voltage range, it may not start smoothly. Even in this case, operation is stable once it starts. If the voltage drops below 100 V, a step-up transformer is necessary.
