Commentary
Driver unit developed for large sound output in theaters, etc.
291-16A uses a newly developed Symbitik diaphragm based on 288D.
This diaphragm uses an assembly of a polymid-film and an aluminum alloy diaphragm, and has a wide frequency range and excellent transient response. Moreover, the allowable input is approximately twice that of the conventional model.
The voice coil uses an edge-wise wound flat aluminum ribbon voice coil.
