Commentary

This monitor speaker system is compatible with the high dynamic range and high speed of digital sources, and also improves the ability to express the sensitivity of analog sources.

A 31 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
Pure Cross Carbon Cone is used for the diaphragm. This is made by hot press molding two sheets of pure Cross Carbon at an angle of 45 degrees so that the direction of the weave does not overlap. The rigidity of the material and molding surface is increased by making it a two layer structure.
The voice coil bobbin is made of phosphor bronze with excellent thermal conductivity and cooling effect.

The middle area is equipped with a 10 cm compound skoker.
This unit uses pure cross carbon for the cone part and ion-plated amorphous diamond diaphragm for the dome part. By using the same diaphragm as woofer for the cone part and the same diaphragm as tweeter for the dome part, natural sound connection is realized.
The voice coil bobbin is made of duralumin bobbin with excellent thermal conductivity.

A 3-cm dome type tweeter using an ion-plated amorphous diamond diaphragm is mounted in the high range.
This ion-plated amorphous diamond diaphragm utilizes Yamaha's unique know-how in LSI manufacturing technology. Carbon atoms are implanted into the titanium surface using a high-voltage accelerated ion gun, and the diaphragm is molded. It has an extremely dense and thick amorphous layer that not only achieves hardness comparable to that of diamond but also achieves improved propagation speed and thermal conductivity.
A duralumin bobbin is used for the voice coil.

Aluminum die-cast frames are used for each unit.

Radial balanced power supply system is adopted for the network section.
In this method, an independent network is prepared for each unit, and each unit is radially arranged to provide equidistant wiring, thereby eliminating magnetic interference between network coils and capacitors.
Network parts are made of silicon steel cores, ferrite cores, OFC magnet wires, plain foils, large BP capacitors, and other high-quality materials that are most suitable for each sound range.

The unit layout is in-line center to improve directional characteristics, and round baffle to prevent unnecessary diffraction at the cabinet edge.
The interior of the enclosure is a bass reflex system, the NS 700 x Monitor uses a rear duct, high-density particleboards for plate materials, and hozo baffles for increased strength.
