Commentary

This direct drive player system was created by combining selected parts and Yamaha's player technology.

The motor is a 20-pole, 60-slot DC servo motor with high torque.
To control the number of revolutions, the AC voltage that is induced in the position detection coil in proportion to the number of revolutions is rectified and compared with a separately set reference voltage by an error comparison circuit consisting of a differential amplifier circuit to control the voltage supplied to the switching circuit.

The turntable has a diameter of 31 cm and a weight of 2.8 kg. The thick aluminum plank is machined with high machining accuracy to achieve accurate dynamic balance. This turntable has an inertial mass of 380 kg ・ cm because its mass is moved to the outer circumference.²And is large enough to maintain accurate rotation against load variations.

The power transformer is carefully shielded to minimize the adverse effects of vibration.

The tone arm uses UA-7 manufactured by Stacks.
It is a system combining a one point support by a precision pivot and a stabilizer using a ball bearing. It has a high initial motion sensitivity of 5 mg including the frictional resistance of a 50 μ φ thin lead wire, and the ability to trace even with a needle pressure of 1g.
In addition, an inside four scan cellar with counter bar and roller arm system is adopted, and a cancellation amount corresponding to each needle pressure can be obtained.
Needle pressure adjustment is a double-weight system that directly reads the needle pressure and enables accurate needle pressure adjustment.

The head shell is made of light alloy die-cast with tapered rib which is strong against resonance and torsion, and 8 mm overhang adjustment and cartridge inclination angle to right and left are also possible.

The cabinet consists of a 15 mm thick reinforced wooden part joined together with a thick die-cast aluminum deck panel. The bottom of the DD motor is damped with a thick damper material to absorb microvibration. The bottom plate of the cabinet is also made of punching metal with rib processing to suppress resonance.

It uses a large insulator that can be adjusted horizontally.

The acrylic dust cover uses a thick and heavy molded product to prevent howling from the outside.

Finished with ebony open-pore finish.
