Commentary
FM/AM tuner with high operability and high basic performance by newly developed pyrotune in the body of 2U panel height.
It uses a pyrotune that lights up five LEDs (two green LEDs and three red LEDs) built into the dial indicator in order and serves as both a signal meter and a center tuning meter.
It is equipped with a super-linear IC that integrates 598 elements (FM / IF stage, quadrature circuit, muting circuit, meter drive circuit, PLL MPX circuit, AM tuner block) in one chip, realizing a significant improvement in dynamic range and high reliability.
A muting mechanism is also added to the AM tuner section to cut unwanted inter-station noise during channel selection.
