Commentary

Head shell made of the same material as MC Cartridge P-3.

In the same way as the P-3 body, DLC processing is applied to the duralumin machined material, and the surface hardness is increased to ヒッカーズ hardness Hv = 3000 or more, resulting in a shell structure with high rigidity and excellent vibration damping characteristics.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) is a generic name for carbon thin films with high hardness and electrical insulation similar to diamond synthesized by the vapor phase synthesis method using ions.

The shell body and connector terminal are connected by double bolts to improve accuracy and rigidity. The rubber ring of the terminal is removed to make direct contact with the arm, and the accuracy of mechanical connection with the arm is greatly improved by two pins on the upper and lower sides.

Stainless steel material is used for finger hooks.
Together with the resonance dispersion shape, unnecessary resonance is suppressed.

The shell lead wire uses polyurethane-coated Litz wire with as thin an insulating material as possible, and realizes sound with less noise and distortion over the entire band.
