Commentary
MP type cartridge which is equivalent to the intermediate model of MP series.
MP-15J is a cartridge unit model, and MP-15HJ is a head shell attached model.
Uses a 0.15 mm square micro stylus tip.
Uses UT58 tapered cantilever.
Uses samarium-cobalt magnet.
Super Permalloy shield case is adopted for the shield case, and high SN ratio is secured by obtaining high magnetic shielding characteristics.
The pole piece has a newly developed 0.2.tx0.1tMm laminated yoke has been adopted to reduce eddy current loss of pole piece.
The cylinder is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (carbon ABS) and is approximately three times stronger than conventional cylinders, thereby eliminating unwanted resonance.
Uses PPS frame.
The terminal pins are gold-plated.
Magnesium alloy is used for the head shell, and copper Litz wire of 99.99% purity is used for the wiring part.
