Commentary
A 4-track stereo tape deck pursuing reliability and stability.
In addition to improving the wow and flutter functions by adopting the belt drive system, a two speed system with belt switching is adopted. This switching is designed to switch the equalizer characteristics of the amplifier simultaneously with the speed.
A hysteresis synchronous motor is used for the motor, and in addition to the smooth rotation operation, the tape speed is prevented from changing due to the voltage fluctuation of the power supply.
The equalizer amplifier and the output amplifier section each apply a large amount of feedback to a direct-coupled amplifier to reduce distortion. A low-noise transistor is used for the input side to improve SN.
The head uses a specially designed 2-micron gap 0.1 mm permalloy laminate head.
There is an auto stopper that automatically turns off the power of the motor when it detects that the tape has run out when the tape finishes winding, preventing the tape from hurting.
