Commentary

A control amplifier designed with an emphasis on phono circuits.

It inherits the equalizer stage developed in the Audio Suite.
The circuit can be switched in three stages from gain 36 dB to gain 60 dB. It is also compatible with low-power MC cartridges. In addition, three combinations of input impedance and load capacity can be selected.

It is equipped with a Route 6 line input system and two tape input / output systems.
The line input is also equipped with a single balanced input through a Fisher terminal. This balanced circuit can be used for devices with a balanced output. The gain can be switched in three stages from 0 dB to + 16 dB to be useful when low-power devices are connected.

Outputs are provided in the Route 3. Two of the outputs are unbalanced via pin plugs, and the remaining one is balanced via Fischer plugs. These three outputs are connected in parallel and can be used to supply signals to multiple power amplifiers or to connect various processors.

The tape output is equipped with a dedicated buffer amplifier that reduces the influence of the connected tape deck on the amplifier and ensures stable tone.

For absolute phase switching, it is possible to perform fine polarity switching such as L side only and R side only, instead of simply switching 180 degrees polarity at L/R simultaneously.

For the L/R balance adjustment, the gain is switched by changing the NF value of the amplifier itself.

It is equipped with a mode switch, which tends to be omitted, with an emphasis on home music playback applications.
The mode switch is in 5-position full mode.

The volume control is equipped with a real 1 db step attenuator.

The flat amplifier uses a large power transistor that supplies a large current to reduce the impedance of the circuit, ensuring stable operation in connection with various devices and complex music signals.

The power supply unit is designed separately from the chassis.
