Commentary
This cassette deck incorporates new technologies such as stabilized tenson dual capstan and Dolby HX.
A 3-head system is used for recording, reproducing, and erasing with dedicated heads. This makes it possible to monitor not only the characteristics but also the playback signal at the time of recording simultaneously, making it easy to set the proper bias and check the saturation level of the tape being used.
In addition, wear resistance is improved by using a combination DX head with a special structure that uses Sendust for the guard part and a hard composite material for the core spacer. Furthermore, eddy current loss is reduced by using a 6-layered core laminate.
Newly developed stabilized torsion dual capstan drive system is adopted for the mechanism part.
The dual capstan drives the tape with two pairs of capstan and pinch rollers. However, the AD-F600 uses a capstan with a special surface treatment based on unique micrograin processing on the take-up side to reduce slippage between the capstan and the tape. In addition, the AD-F 2000 blocks adverse effects from other drive systems, such as torque fluctuations and vibration of the take-up reel shaft.
In addition, FG servo motors are used for the capstan and DC motors are used for the reel to obtain excellent characteristics.
Equipped with ADMS (Automatic Demagnetization System) to protect the head from magnetization.
In ADMS, the high frequency current of the erasing oscillator in the deck flows to the head, and after a certain time (approximately 1.5 seconds), it is automatically attenuated to 0, and all the heads are demagnetized.
Equipped with the Dolby HX System, the bias and recording equalizer are automatically changed according to the input signal components to improve the high-frequency dynamic range.
In addition, the AD-F600 is equipped with a dedicated oscillator in the erase head so that the optimum erase current flows regardless of the variable bias of Dolby HX.
Equipped with a bias fine adjustment mechanism for many types of LH tapes.
IC logic control system is adopted.
Equipped with an automatic tape slack removal mechanism.
Equipped with VU meter with back lighting and 5-point peak indicator.
Equipped with a 3-step tape selector with metal position.
Equipped with timer standby mechanism. By combining with a separately sold timer, it is possible to record absence and play alarm clock.
Equipped with auto-repeat function.
Equipped with an MPX filter ON/OFF switch.
Equipped with a remote control terminal, a separately sold remote control unit can be connected.
